Skin:
• Caffeine and alcohol dehydrate and age skin. Drink at least one
glass of water per caffeinated or alcoholic beverage.
• Sunscreen all year round is your best defense against sun damage and premature aging. Try a tinted moisturizer with sunscreen if you
don’t need a full coverage foundation.
• Pay special attention to your hands, which get more sun than
most of the rest of your body.
• Nourish your skin from the inside out with vitamins made especially for skin. Try Imedeen found in fine salons and spas. Vitamins A, C and E are especially good for skin.
• Love your neck and throat area as much as you do your face.
Moisturize in an uplifting motion.
• Puffy eye problems? Watch your intake of fluids close to bedtime;
the side you sleep on will often be puffier due to pooling of excess fluid during sleep. Use eye creams sparingly as the humectants therein retain moisture and can add to puffiness.
• Don’t overdue the glycolic acids, alpha-hydroxy acids, and peeling agents.
Go to a competent esthetician for treatments when you need them.
More isn’t always better. |

Style:
• Make the most of your clothing budget. Buy less but spend more on classic items or workhorses; those things that you will get a lot of wear out of. (A black suit, which includes trousers, white button down menswear blouse, and brown or black ankle, boots. (Things that are not trendy)
• Buying classic items increases the longevity of the item. You will often get multiple seasons
out of classics.
• When deciding how much to spend for a particular item use the cost per wear factoring system. If I spend $150.00 on a pair of boots and I know I will wear them just about every day in the season (approximately 100 to 120 days) that is $150.00 divided by 120 equaling about $1.25 per wearing which is a great deal. Now spending $150.00 on a pair of boots I will wear only once or twice is quite a bit more expensive.
• Shopping end of season markdowns only works if you know what to look for. Styles that will make the cut the next year and best if you have items to pair with them already at home.
• If your WOW color is in season, (red, navy, salmon…) grab all you can get while it is hot. Colors in fashion go in cycles.
Spirit and Balance:
• Getting enough sleep is the body's natural way to get back in balance;
don't cheat yourself of sleep.
• Quiet time will increase your productivity even though it takes time away from other activities.
• Make a list of affirmations (in present tense) that mean something to you and post them on your bathroom mirror where you will see them all the time.
• Put affirmations on a post-it in your pocket to remind yourself during the day.
For example: “I radiate with good, glowing health today.”
• Remember, what you focus on, you bring more of into your life. Wouldn’t you rather focus on the things you want in your life not the things you don’t want.
